Moth Unbothered
he in this
a life somehow below
a garden nurtured too long alone
fails to revive this day
or any other insisting thing
see the uncertain breeze is still with the sky pale
collapsing
answerless
knowing now the course of things that may have been
he moves from this side
back again shifting then again
and how he wants to be
or more than anything
in this closest distance
on crowded blossoms
for this
with moth
unbothered

Calling Out
Walk by these clouds boundless in awe
They stare into one sun or another unbothered
Untethered mostly understood but
Call out now to this thinning stream of blue
How many days will it continue to be
And the sweet idea of it remains with me continuing
She true to her word follows me about relentlessly
And these sounds that river loudly and still about me
What will happen to them if the I fades to dust
Companions to the end wondrous and plain
In the midst of a thought struggling to find itself
I am both night and day
Sworn to the oath
The diabolical click
Of a deceiving
Eternity

The Only Thing
from here this river thinly
mysteriously ever seeks
never returns refuses it's only sea
where water once rose crashing over huddled
dunes low clouds now torture remaining ruins
of light failing collapsing onto some unknown
piercing gulls glide into an impossible silence
rest in rows or maybe
sleep in the low moan ache
of moving reeds
tickle of the coldest sky
in this all longing becomes
the only thing becomes the
what of this
whatever
else

Not Much More
it is the lightest this
the wanting mystery
the all of her unheard
then the sudden echoes of her whispers ring
stone to pebble
pebble to stone
sun to dust
this shimmering collision of
rhythmic universes startle
her nature quivers

my comings goings go unnoticed
the what of me replies from the other side of
somewhere or other
the wanting to see through her
her complications of racing streams
to quiet sea leaves me sightless dull
mine just a life of dusty tidbits
crumbled notes
lost days
some this and that
no matter
not much more

Birds Chirping In Distance

still green water stirs mesmerizes
in the why
a sun makes its escape
over burnt fields
provokes me
why sun
relentless sun
again again
wind spills failing light
teasing at these ecstatic trees
what sky what day delivers this confusion
lifts at its brightened skin
crashes into a tangle of what ifs
could have beens
risking nothing she sees
through this curiosity
of what was once me
sees this hidden this
a lyric with birds
murmuring in
a distant
place

Crossing Thoughts
through the sun
just under this bright hill
a crow on dark wire
wings gleaming spreading un-
evenly
below
its body
shakes away
last
night's
rain
just one moment
in the brief wonder of this
freshly
shaping
breeze

 Sigh

this bareness
when time is pushed aside
when you cry out light rises
high over these broken trees
over these thin longing fields
in this distance day begins with a soft nod
an immeasurable night buried
in the sweet lyric of
a deepening
sigh

Sigh
