Take the Long Way Home

take the long way
forget about time
it knows less about itself than I
it counts for nothing
everything time is supposed to be
was meant to be
is meaningless
numberless
in our timeless
compressions

take the long way back to me
there is plenty to see
hug the curving road
swerve above the sea
above the sun
above the
above

take the long way back to me
slowly draw yourself
stretch from breath to breath
sigh to sigh
toe to toe

take the long way home

and stop for no one
